Important Information about Camping near Fort Collins:
During the summer months, camping in Lory State Park and the Arapahoe & Roosevelt National Forests is a popular activity for both visitors and residents alike. Campgrounds can fill up months in advance, so planning ahead is critical. Even the sites that don't take reservations typically are full by Wednesday or Thursday each week. Before you travel, make sure to check some of these sites for campground information and reservations. It will make your experience in our mountains much more enjoyable. For some great alternatives to camping in Poudre Canyon, we recommend checking out rental cabins in the area as well as camping at Horsetooth Reservoir - they even have boat-in campsites. Happy camping!
